This week, A and I are house/dog sitting for an old boss (the chocolate fountain lady) and she has more diet coke in her house than heaven does. I know I know, one of my new year's resolutions was to quit drinking DC, and I did for a while. I figured out that I loved the fizz of DC and found a perfect replacement-sparkling water. There were a couple weeks that I didn't even think about/crave DC (it sounds like I need medical help, doesn't it?) but now being in DC heaven it's hard to resist. I take that back, it's impossible to resist and therefore I have set up a rationing system for myself- once the DC in the frig is gone that's it. And don't be fooled that A doesn't drink DC either, he can gulp a couple cans a day, he just doesn't have the strong fetish/relationship/need/desire that I do.
Beyond that, last week A and I became an aunt and an uncle for the first time. Åsmund (his brother) and Berit had Nathaniel February 20. We were able to see him via skype on Sunday and we both feel in love with him! The countdown is on until we leave for Norway to visit family and Nathaniel.
Side note about blogging- I've decided (a sentence I say many times a day) that I should keep my posting to 15 minutes. I don't have the patience or time to read posts that go on and on, the ones I tend to read frequently are those that are short, simple and sweet. I'm going to attempt this 15 minutes limit in hopes that it will make my posting more regular (there is always 15 minutes to spare).
Another side note- I'm ready for February to be gone and March to appear. Even though the list of to-do's for March is already long ( Stats test, GRE test, book report, leadership project, help grandpa move, redo the kitchen cabinets, head to Norway) that just means the month will go faster and I'll be that much closer to finishing my first semester and summer will be here. Which means warm weather, two special weddings, and warm weather!!
